    Air Arabia resumes daily Ras Al Khaimah Kozhikode service

    RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will restart daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on October 16, 2026. The service restores a direct connection between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Bookings are already available through the airline’s sales channels. The route will link Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the resumption on October 6.

    The daily service will give passengers another direct travel option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is a major city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The latest announcement did not include specific departure or arrival times. It also did not identify the aircraft planned for the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not published flight numbers for the October restart. Travelers can check current schedules when making reservations.

    Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali welcomed the return of the connection. He said the daily flights would offer customers a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The company also pointed to travel demand between the two cities. Its announcement focused on connectivity, frequency and the confirmed restart date. Air Arabia did not release passenger projections or traffic estimates for the route. No additional operational changes accompanied the announcement.

    Daily flights expand Ras Al Khaimah network

    The restored Kozhikode service will join several international routes operating from Ras Al Khaimah. Air Arabia currently lists Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar among its nonstop destinations from the emirate. Kozhikode will return to that network from October 16. The carrier began operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014. Since then, the emirate has remained one of its operating bases in the United Arab Emirates.

    The Ras Al Khaimah to Kozhikode route first launched on November 22, 2023. The original schedule offered three flights each week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Airbus A320 aircraft operated those services under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule increases the route to daily frequency. However, the carrier has not confirmed whether those flight numbers will return. It has also not confirmed the operating times for the resumed service.

    Bookings open for October 16 restart

    Passengers can purchase tickets through the airline’s website, call centre and travel agencies. Those booking options were confirmed alongside the route announcement. The company did not state when the earlier Kozhikode service stopped. It also gave no reason for the interruption. The announcement did not provide starting fares for the resumed flights. Aircraft assignment details were also absent. The confirmed information covers the destination pair, daily frequency and October 16 start date.

    The resumption restores a nonstop link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after the route first opened. Daily operations will replace the three-times-weekly frequency announced at the original launch. The service will again connect the two airports without an intermediate stop. Passengers seeking exact flight times, fares or flight numbers can review current booking information before travel. Air Arabia has announced no further changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
